1: "Steady As The Sea"

I am the first you are likely to see
I rise like a tide, swelling over the sea
Like a pillar of strength bent on toppling
See, I'm steady as can be

My footing sure to fail
All my lusting to no avail
Tearing holes in my own sail
Going nowhere

Waves of indecision come from me
Directed by the wind, my symphony
Everything is crashing around me
See, I'm steady as the sea

My footing sure to fail
All my lusting to no avail
Tearing holes in my own sail
Going nowhere

All is shifting
Or maybe it's drifting from me
Faces pass
As I clasp what's left of my dignity
Skipping stones
Built this throne I am sitting
I'm slipping

2: "Instruments Of Cruelty"

Torturous
Instruments
Blades that rust
Like blood in dust
Leaving misery

I will not live, I will not live in that place
Overturned the urn and shattered the vase
I will not join, I will not join with your ranks
Dishonor and disgrace, your assembly will shatter, shatter

Gouging spears
And swords that pierce
Your war is fierce
You will hear no cheers
For your victory

I will not live, I will not live in that place
Overturned the urn and shattered the vase
I will not join, I will not join with your ranks
Dishonor and disgrace, your assembly will shatter, shatter

I will not live, I will not live in that place
Overturned the urn, you have shattered the vase
I will not join, I will not join with your ranks
Dishonor and disgrace, your assembly will shatter, shatter
Divided and scattered

3: "Divide & Scatter (Let Not My Soul)"

He has seen
The wrath that you weave
Every curse that you breathe
He is not happy
Though you clean
The blood off your sheath
You are rotting beneath
He is not laughing

He is singing

Let not my soul, be united
Let not my soul, be united
May their council, be divided
And scattered

He has seen
The wrath that you weave
Every curse that you breathe
He is not happy
Though you clean
The blood off your sheath
You are rotting beneath
He is not laughing

He is singing

Let not my soul, be united
Let not my soul, be united
May their council, be divided
And scattered

Divide, this darkness from inside
Scatter, this wickedness and pride
He will divide and scatter your lives
Though He longs to dwell by your side

He is lamenting

Let not my soul, be united
Let not my soul, be united
May their council, be divided
And scattered

4: "The Lion"

I am the lion
I am the offense
And from my line
Will run the Vine
With teeth of white
And eyes like wine

I am the lion
I am the offense
And from my line
Will run the Vine
With teeth of white
And eyes like wine

Hand upon your neck
I won't demand, won't demand your respect
Still you will bow and praise
Every knee in every tongue will say

I am the lion
I am the offense
And from my line
Will run the Vine
With teeth of white
And eyes like wine

Blood runs down my side
Laying down my life, laying down my pride
Coming up from the kill
When death is destroyed, I will have my fill

I am the lion
I am the offense
And from my line
Will run the Vine
With teeth of white
And eyes like wine

All before me
My seed, warriors and kings
Raising the mountains, moving the seas
Shifting the tides, only life comes from me
I Am
I Am

I Am, the Lion
I Am, the Lion
I Am, the Lion

5: "House Light"

Am I just a blip on the radar
Is the captain approaching me
Sand and tides get in my eyes
And I blink

Am I just a light in a far off tower
You could run a line or run aground
A distant savior if you'd drop your anchor
Or drown

Don't count on me
But follow the beams
Erupting from inside
It's light I bleed
It's washing over

Am I the place you make land
Asleep in my harbor, a haven
The feeding breast where ships do rest
Again

Don't count on me
But follow the beams
Erupting from inside
It's light I bleed
It's washing over

I house light
I house light
Brilliant and fervent and bright
My house is order
Adjoining borders
In the night

6: "Two Burdens"

I came upon a beautiful land
And I was burdened by the joy that I felt
When from my hand, like grains of sand
That vision of beauty did melt

So I put my feet in front of me
A shoulder's width apart
And did not grieve the sigh I breathed
I carried that yoke upon my heart

Then I bent down and felt my crown
Descending from my head
And heard inside, "Maybe death to pride,
Could bring up life instead."

So I laid to rest my puffed up chest
Resolved to lay it all
For I am but man, captive of this land
Let that rain of mercy fall

You swallowed up the fear in me
I'm no longer slave to slavery
So I took up the plow and dug in deep
When there's nothing left in me
There's everything

7: "The Law Upheld"

With a gavel in hand
You will judge a nation
Under your command
The law upheld
With a prudent eye
And careful examination
You will lead the blind
You will judge yourself

Every trespass, won't pass
Without due process
Like a snake's lash from the tall grass
Subduing the lawless

With a heel in your mouth
You'll devour injustice
A barreling beast
With its rider in tow
With a mighty crash
He will lay where the dust is
Dead on the path
Overthrown

Every trespass, won't pass
Without due process
Like a snake's lash from the tall grass
Subduing the lawless
On that path, so winding and wide
Winning their minds to the other side

With a gavel in hand
You will judge a nation
O Lord, I have waited for Your salvation!
